My Renewed Grateful Heart

2016 feels so fresh and new- like the feeling I have at the beginning of the week but amplified.

This year feels like it’s got some really great things in store for K and I. I’m not the type to count my chickens before they hatch, but I just feel so renewed and hopeful about the next 12 months. I think our family will really thrive and Kyle/we have some crazy lofty goals and predictions for PI. It just feel like we’re starting the year off really…. right. And this unfounded yet confident positivity only reassures me.

Do you guys feel it, too??

For whatever reason my heart is singing. We rang in the new year with some of our favorite people and I spent the weekend organizing the craziness that engrossed our home this Christmas. For me, a little socialization and lot of solitary organization is the perfect weekend!

I have so many things I want to accomplish this year, but I don’t feel overwhelmed. I feel capable and I’m so ready to embrace whatever happens. Ya know??!

Tell me, friends, what are you most excited for this year?? I can’t wait for my baby brother’s wedding and our family vacation to the east coast!

I’m so glad you’re got the good New Year vibes, too! “Newness” has the potential to be scary or overwhelming, but I feel really positive about the next 366 (well, 362) days!

It’s SO hard to say “no” sometimes… Good for you, Rebecca! This fast paced world tries to make us feel bad about lazy nights at home on the couch with our sweetie, but that’s JUST what the doctor ordered some times!

  5. I needed this so bad today. I slept like crap last night (well, didn’t sleep really), got pulled over on my way to work, and am just getting over being sick (which hit me on the first day of 2016 of all days). so I haven’t felt like this year has been the best start. but this optimism of yours is just the thing I needed for an attitude adjustment. thank you!

Half the blogs I’ve read this week are about organization and it makes my little heart sing! Haha! I REALLY wanted to take down the Christmas stuff last weekend so I could check it off in my head, but I just enjoy having it up too much πŸ™‚

I think I can relate! I don’t know if I just ended 2015 well or there’s really just something different about this year already. Whatever it is, I’m grateful for it, too.

My husband and I are looking to move to California this year, so I’m eager about that! We are in the Philippines for ministry. He’s Filipino-American so he could go anytime, but I need a visa to enter the U.S. so I’m really looking forward to finishing the process and moving!
