Blog Blues and Blog Favorites

I will admit that I’m in a slump since my week-long blogging break. Taking a step back was the wrong move for me; I really enjoy this community and when I’m not focused on writing thing here I’m focused on the icky-ness of the world around me.

Like Donald Trump.

Next week my state votes and I am PRAYING that it doesn’t disappoint me. I want to throw up when I think about that “man.” He’s really not a man… he’s that poop emoji. He’s literally poop with a face. And a microphone.

Sorry… now I’m just rambling.

While we’re on the topic (…we’re not), I made a Facebook page for my blog. Do you like me? (Shameless plug. I apologize.)

It’s not “Friday Favorites” but last week I read some AWESOME posts and I want to share them today.

  • Cat spoke the words of my sensitive, over-analyzing, grudge-holding heart with her reflection on friendships. Does “it’s not you, it’s me” work on bffs?
  • Taylor is so ON POINT with her sermon about men and women in long term relationships. Honestly though, we’re all just ring-obsessed, pie-baking, wanna be homemakers, right? PREACH, GIRL!
  • Macy is calling you out and calling me out, and it’s something we need to hear– especially during an election year!
  • I’ve never been in the dating game as a dog mom, but I think Alanna covered all the bases on Friday with her post about being in a relationship with a human and balancing the responsibility of owning a dog!

So there you have it. Go check out those fly ladies because their heads are way more in the game today than mine is!

Also!! (*squealllll*) Chelsea made a HUGE announcement on Wednesday! I’ve never met her or her mister but I am just TOO excited for them!

Happy Monday, kiddos.

I was reading the results from this weekend and all I could think was, “Why WHY WHYYY?” I don’t understand- they didn’t teach this kind of stupidity when I was in government class.. Ugh 😦

Hahaha, we are big Jimmy Fallon fans in our house. I bet there’s a Jimmy gif for every situation πŸ˜€ Your new future bundle of awesomeness definitely required some Elmo-dancing!

  3. Well, I like you – but I’m not sure about the commitment of a Facebook page like… #joking

Haha! Honestly, I’m really stingy about FB and not “liking” a whole bunch of pages to clog my newsfeed… So if people DON’T choose to “like” me I won’t be terribly upset πŸ˜‰

Thanks for sharing!! I love Tay’s post too. It scares me that Trump won in Virginia too. I actually came face-to-face with a Trump supporter the other day and I wanted to ask why but I was just too shocked to react.

I get so nervous around Trump supporters…. I mean, if they’re willing to support someone so crass and hateful it makes me nervous what they might say to me- I don’t blame you for being shocked!

Once I stopped posting every day and taking random break days I just can’t stop. Part of me thinks it’s good, but part of me wants to just skip more and more days since I’m not ‘on a roll’ anymore. I read most of those posts last week and LOVED them. Oh and I went ahead and liked your FB page. πŸ™‚ (I created one a few months ago and I was consistently posting at first and now I haven’t in months. Oops!)

Thanks, Mattie πŸ˜€ I meant to write a whole bunch on my break and schedule them ahead…. but I didn’t. Ha. So now I’m just slowly finding inspiration and scheduling ahead when I can. (But at the same time I like to be present and write about things that are affecting me right NOW πŸ™‚ ) I’m gonna go dig for your Facebook page now!!
