Currently…

It blows my mind how much time passes when you’re not paying any attention. I feel like I just did a “currently” update, but my last one was at the beginning of February. That’s crazy!

Currently

So here’s what’s new…

Listening to… All My Life by the Foo Fighters. It’s may favorite FF song & it just came on my Pandora rock station. Happy Friday to me! (Also, The West Wing podcast!)

Watching… Fuller House, The West Wing, Jimmy Fallon. I’m not watching these right now, but this is what we’ve been watching the past few weeks.

Reading… The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I’m also looking to get my hands on the next Lunar book, Scarlet.

Eating… a clementine, just like I do every morning. Also applesauce and a rice cake. Yum yum yum.

Drinking… hot tea. I’ve been on a hot tea/sweet tea kick lately. I gave up pop for Lent and since Easter I’ve only had one rootbeer. I think I may have kicked my pop-drinking habit…

Wearing… jeans, because it’s Friday. Yay!

Celebrating… the weekend? Jeans? I’m not celebrating anything right now. Last weekend we went out for my mom’s birthday and at the end of the month is our 3 year wedding anniversary, but this weekend is just a chore/relax/unwind weekend.

Dreaming of… financial freedom. Haha. I ordered a hashbrown from McDonald’s the other morning JUST because I wanted the chance of pulling off the Monopoly game piece and winning a bazillion dollars. That’s how it works, right?

Worrying about… nothing. Honestly, I was in paralyzed-anxiety-mode on Tuesday and K has been stressed out lately, but today I feel ok and relaxed. Things aren’t perfect, but life is pretty good to us so I’m not going to fret (for now).

Hoping for… my acid reflux to STOP. I need to set a reminder on my phone to take my antacid pills. Ugh. I’m sure it’s stressed induced, so maybe I lied just now…

Planning… for the races! We’re headed to the NASCAR races this month (and K is headed to WGI), so I’m working out the details with our house/dog-sitter and such. I’m also thinking about my future sister-in-law’s bridal shower!

Looking forward to… our family vacation this July. It’s all I can think about right now. My baby brother & his fiancee won’t be joining us, which makes me sad, but I’m so ready to go relaaaax.

What are you up to lately?

I have pills to treat it 🙂 I’m just forgetful and don’t remember to pop ’em until the reflux is in full swing. My own fault!

HONESTLY, what I won’t give for a Trader Joe’s around here 😦 Or even a Target. Clementines are pricey but they’re SO delish!

Haha I’ve started playing the lottery since I’m convinced I’ll win…

This also basically cements that I’m a weirdo – I HATE clementines. I can’t even have them in my house because the smell makes me gag.

We’ve never bought a lottery ticket but we often talk about what we’d do if we won… haha! Makes no sense…
I can’t believe you hate clementines! They’re so yummy and so low maintenance!

haha – I so laughed at the trip to McDonalds for a monopoly piece. I so get that 🙂 I’ve ordered things before for a play piece only to see it wasn’t included on that item. DANG IT!

I hate when worry give you that paralyzed anxiety. That’s miserable. You can see why God tells us not to worry – it messes you up.

I originally went through for some coffee but I saw hash browns were on the list of game pieces so I was like, “Why not??” I won nothing. Haha!
I scheduled this last night and got home from helping my mom out and found a water mark on our kitchen ceiling (probably from a leaking pipe in the bathroom above)! I told K, “Great… now I’m DEFINITELY lying about my current lack of worry.” Haha! Oh well. That’s life.

I gave up soda for Lent too and I’ve only had it once since because I no longer crave it! Yay for vacation in July! Where are you headed? I’m going on vacation next month and can’t WAIT!

Apparently Lent to Easter is the key amount of time needed to break a habit! 🙂 Yay for us!
We’re headed to Massachusetts/Nantucket/Boston in July! I’m so excited!

  6. How awesome would that be to be a billionaire just by eating mcdonalds?! I probably lost a ton of money from the years of trying it, but there’s always that chance! Thanks for linking up with us 🙂

Hahaha! 4 clementines is only like, 2 oranges. I’d say you have plenty of space for more! Elyse is crazy! I love how easy they are to peel and eat!
I have meds for my reflux- I’m just a forgetful old lady and I don’t take them until it’s too late. We LIVE on Tums in our house! Ugh!

There were so many times pre-Easter that I wanted a Mt. Dew but since then I haven’t craved it once. I used to drink it during Nascar races but I still haven’t cracked. Haha!
If I win some McDonald’s money I’ll kick a little bit your way. Haha!

A hashbrown sounds amaazing. I want one, now. I had an egg and cheese biscuit from Chick fil a the other day and that and hashbrowns are on my mind. I heard The West Wing is a great show. I just started watching another show on netflix, but it is on my list.

UGH. I would eat chick-fil-a all day every day if I could. We don’t have one in my town and it upsets me every time I think about it! The West Wing is phenomenal. We started on January 1st and we’re almost done with Season 5. (There are roughly 22 45-minute episodes per season.) SO GOOD!

Sooo I know this post is super old (well, 5 days, but in blog world it’s kind of weird to comment 5 days late, right?!) but I just have to say I’m always so happy when someone else says pop!!! YAY! Also I just started watching Fuller House and I am obsessed. It is the cheesiest EVER but #nostalgia and also I appreciate the adult jokes that are actually pretty dang funny!

Ha! You can comment on any old posts you want to! 🙂 I honestly thought about putting “soda” because I was worried people wouldn’t know what I meant at first… hahaha! But I say pop, so that’s what I went with! The adult humor in Fuller House is awesome! The middle son (Max, I think) is my fav!
