If you’ll recall, back in December of 2015 I made some goals for the new year. My mind is completely blown that we’re already past the halfway point for 2016. Some days and weeks drag on, but overall I think this year is flying. The second half (actually, the last quarter) of the year is my favorite so things are only going to speed up for me!
Today I was inspired by Chelsea to go back and look at the resolution I’d made for 2016. To be totally honest, I haven’t thought about or referenced this list since I made it. Hopefully my subconscious brain kept me on track 🙂
Start running. Alright… I’m going to half cross this off because I have started running. I’m not a consistent runner, though, so I don’t want to totally own this one yet. Still working on it…
Learn to cook more (vegetarian) meals. Nah…. this hasn’t happened at all.
Find a word for 2016. I settled on embrace. So far I think I’ve done a pretty good job at embracing changes and opportunities this year. Read, read, read. And write. I’ve already read more books in 6 months than I didn’t in 2015. Next year I will set a numerical goal. To see what I’ve read this year you can check out my 2016 Book Nook .
Volunteer. I’ve done the orientation… I just need to get myself to the shelter.
So there ya have it. Halfway through the year with roughly half of my list checked off. I’m ok with that.
How are your resolutions or year-long goals coming along?
