The 2017 Planner

No one is giving me money or a free dog to write this post. I wanted this planner so I contacted the company and asked them if I could get a coupon code for myself & my blog friends. And apparently the people at Plum Paper are angels because they sent all of us a code.

Planner_1

So here’s your code for 10% off (good until 11/30/2016):

LIFE10

And here’s my new planner:

Planner_2

I, like many bloggers and Type-A nuts professionals, love planners. I usually order my planner for the new year some time in August. When it arrives, I go crazy jotting down all the birthdays and events. I really love laying out my entire life on paper. Weird, but true.

Anyway, I browsed and browsed for the perfect planner because I’ve been using the same one for three years and I finally settled on Plum Paper. They offer the standard monthly and weekly pages, plus some extra spots for goal writing, important events, contact info, and doodles. They also have tabs for each month which makes flipping through SO much easier!

Planner_3

I chose to add on and asked for a “Bills Paid” page at the end of each month, as well as two sets of stickers!

Planner_4. . .

Planner_5

There are SO many different add-on options including fitness tracking, home planning, family planning, budgeting, and wedding planning (plus more). There are also dozens of cover images to pic from, but I loved the crisp, clean look of the flags. So like I said, here’s your code ( LIFE10 ) for 10% off a planner. I don’t get any money from this- just the joy of passing on savings 🙂 Enjoy!

** I am so grateful for the minds and souls that read my blog. I was so nervous to share my feminist post last week and I am just overwhelmed by the incredible, strong, badass women who responded. You are all the greatest.

I am a planner NUT!!! I’ve heard about this one for the longest time. Glad you got one & cant wait to hear how it works for you through the year.
I love the design you picked. Super cute.
I got my Bullet Journal started for 2017 – I’m loving designing it myself to make it my own. I’ve got to do a post on that soon.
Good for you reaching out for a coupon code. Smart girl!

I love the little glimpses at your bullet journal. It is seriously so creative and pretty and amazing! Someday I will try that, but for now I’m letting Plum Paper design my planner, hehe 🙂

The last three or four years I have debated getting a fancy planner. You see, I always get a cute one from Target for $10 but then I get irritated that I can see through the pages and they are very generic and what not so I get bored and quit using them after about 3 to 5 months. I am nervous to pay extra and quit using a fancy one. Butttt at the same time I feel like if I knew that I paid more money for it and it was a little more fun…it might keep me more interested in using it. Plus now I don’t have just my own schedule to keep up with, but I will have to remember baby appointments and stuff too. So I feel like I might actually use one this year. The whole rant I just went on was to say, thank you for the code!!! Plum is the one I would get if I get one.

I am a planner junkie. I keep my schedule in it, keep track of my bills, and write to-do lists and Christmas lists and all my lists throughout the pages. I’ve been like that since college! The paper quality with this new one is amazing! I typically write in pencil but there are a few things I jot down in pen and there’s no bleed-through so far! I used “orange circle studio” for the last three years but I wanted an upgrade this time 😉

  3. I used Erin Condren, then Plum Paper for two years. My needs are always changing, and for 2016 I went to a thinner one that would fit in my purse and am doing the same for 2017.

I use limited stickers/etc and color code in pens over markers now. I also stopped needing hourly slots. I am good with the lesser one for now but could see myself going back again to EC or PP.

I lean on my planner for EVERYTHING. I really don’t feel the need to decorate with stickers and stuff, but if there’ a tooth one available I’ll stick it on the day I have a dentist appt 🙂 Typically I write in pencil in my planners, but the paper in the PP is great so I’ve been adding pen here and there. (I change the original title of this post, haha! I had the “confession” title, too! Ha!)

I LOVE planning but I’ve never been able to feet into a paper planner, I guess it’s because I HATE carrying anything extra and if I have to have my phone, then it might as well also be my calendar. I have an awful memory so I even forget to look in my planner basically making it useless but that never stops me from buying one every year and abandoning or losing it by the end of January. What can I say? I’m a sucker for pretty paper and Plum Paper agendas look SO pretty!

  15. wait. WAIT. how did I miss this post???? yay for planner addicts; i switched from a bound to a binder system (kikki k) and i’ve been stalking etsy on the regular (did you know etsy is part of ebates now????) for planner stickers instead of doing things like oh, you know….working.

plum has legit paper quality! my last planner was plum. such great service too.

I love the paper in my PP. I couldn’t really use pen in my old planner (which is ok because I typically write in pencil), but these thick pages have opened a whole new world of color for me!!

I have definitely found having a planner to be essential the last two years–otherwise there’s no way I can remember all of my meetings and appointments. Bonus points if the planner is cute. 😛 I usually keep a spare notebook for extra info/lists/memories/random things I write down, because the planner isn’t quite big enough to hold all the random stuff I want to write down on normal days.

In the past three years I’ve scrutinized new potential planners. I require one that leaves me enough space for lists 🙂 I’ve been planner obsessed since my senior year of high school (when I started taking college courses) and have added colors, stickers, and pages to my new ones every year since!

I love the cover, it’s super cute. I had a plum paper in recent history, it was definitely the best for me for tracking blog things. I can’t decide what to do for 2016! I’m thinking I don’t need something as big as a plum paper (I’m leaning Emily Ley over PP this time, since I haven’t had her new design yet) so do I just stick with my Kate Spade wellesley that always lives in my purse anyway since it’s my wallet? Or do I get a bigger one for at home like usual? CAN’T CHOOSE. I love planners way too much.

I try to hold off buying new ones but every August the planner-bug bites me 🙂 Mine typically sits on my desk at work and travels with me on the weekends. The PP one I got is a little bigger and thicker than the brand I’ve been using, but hopefully that won’t bother me! 🙂

So sorry you didn’t get a free dog for your review-haha! But I just love that other people still use good old planners. Mine contains my whole life, and if I lose it I’m in trouble. So my husband is always telling me I should “go digital” but I’m like NO WAY!
