Fall Fall Fall

I’m currently listening to my husband fight/argue with our oldest dog … She keeps barking during his favorite TV show. I feel like this is a window into our future with a teenage daughter… Ha.

Hi ya 🙂 I totally bailed on Monday but I had a busy weekend and a lot going on and I just didn’t want to throw together a half-assed post. But I’m here today & that’s what matters.

So let’s talk about fall. (You might be sick of fall talk… If that’s the case maybe don’t come back here until Monday… #sorrynotsorry)

I’m waiting to post my fall goals until Steph and Sara‘s link-up on Friday, but I wanted a fun bucket list for the season so that’s what we’re doing today! I also added some fall inspiration at the end, too- just in case you haven’t gotten your sweater wearing, scarf draping, latte sipping fix 😉

Audrey’s Fall Bucket List:

  • Go to a local apple orchard & bring home a bushel small bag of apples
  • Get all the fall decor out & around the house
  • Visit a few fall craft shows (preferably with Mom)
  • Pick out some bright orange pumpkins
  • Carve said pumpkins (preferably with Fred & Christina)
  • Drink lots of apple cider
  • Get a PSL DONE 😉
  • Host our annual Halloween Party (theme coming soon!)
  • Take the dogs to a local park or nature trail for hikes
  • Visit a haunted house
  • Bake a few new fall cookies
  • Fall vacation with the husband
  • Add a few classy, seasonal pieces to my wardrobe
  • Watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
  • Create & enjoy a fire pit area in our yard

Some of these are already in the works (the Halloween party, our fall vacation) but most of these are fun things I try to plan every year (and usually fail). A few of these might double as goals on Friday’s post, too. Meh. That’s just how it works.

And now for some Fall Inspiration! (Follow me on Pinterest for more!)

  1. The eyeball cookies are cute, not creepy!!

It’s way too hot here still to be thinking about hot drinks or autumn clothing. It’s supposed to rain at the weekend though.

I think those cookies are adorable, too! I think I’ll make a few for our Halloween party AND some to take into the office 🙂
I looove fall rain- probably because it cools everything down so much!

The past two years I’ve been giving my Halloween Parties a theme (because I’m a control freak, lol). It’s one of my favorite days of the year!!

  3. i’ve started baking with pumpkin puree and spices already but next week we’re supposed to have another heat wave!

Ugh. Heat waves are SO annoying after Sept. 1st. It’s just summer overstaying its welcome and ruining my fall vibes. I’m ready for jeans and boots. It irritates the hell out of me when I still have to wear shorts to be comfortable. Haha.

I never tire of talking about fall!!! This fall will look a little different around my house, I have been drinking apple juice instead of cider (usually not pasteurized) or fall hard ciders and beers and I just didn’t feel like digging out the fall decor. Not that we have a lot of it, but I just didn’t have the energy to go get it all. I am saving it for Christmas lol. But YES to all the fall outfits and recipes! Love your fall bucket list.

Usually my house looks like a Halloween department store by now but I’ve been so busy (and tired) lately so I’m a little slow. This week it’s all going up, though! 😀

I LOVE those outfits! I definitely want to hit up an apple orchard too…now I just have to find one since I’m pretty certain there isn’t one in Vancouver. I’ve already watched It’s A Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown this season!

How can there be no apple orchards in Vancouver?! That’s so sad! I hope you find one nearby!

This makes me suuuper happy! (I will NEVER get my fill of fall!) We’ve been wanting to go to a haunted house every year forever and just haven’t. This year is our year!!!

Yes! Go to that haunted house! We have like six haunted houses/schools/corn mazes/factories near us! Plus the Mansfield Reformatory (the jail where Shawshank Redemption was filmed) is pretty close by. I’ve never been there but I’ve heard it’s awesome!

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, is my number 1 fall tradition! The Thanksgiving and Christmas specials follow soon after. Also, I’m glad to see that you’ve got your PSL already! I love apple cider and I have to try to get my hands on some in Hawaii! Fall in New York is magical and that’s one of the biggest things I miss about it.

I bet fall in NY is beautiful! We took a drive down through the mountains last year in September and it was gorgeous!
I’m not obsessed with the PSL but I usually get one or two throughout the fall. The Christmas Caramel Brulee Latte is my OBSESSION. Can’t wait for that one 😉

It’s so versatile! I like to layer in the fall- heavy clothes and be used in the winter & the bottom, lighter layers can be re-worn in the spring/summer. Perfect!

All fun fall things! I love fall festivals. There is a Harry Potter festival up here that is so much fun. I’m getting more and more ready for fall style. I feel so awkward and bumbly with the belly lately that I want as few clothes as possible (comfort over modesty), but as the weather cools down, I realize I will probably accept leggings back into my life.

SO JEALOUS of your Harry Potter festival!!! We have quite a few craft fairs and yummy food festivals 🙂 but I’d trade all that for a HP Festival. Ha!
