Fall Fall Fall

I’m currently listening to my husband fight/argue with our oldest dog … She keeps barking during his favorite TV show. I feel like this is a window into our future with a teenage daughter… Ha.

Hi ya 🙂 I totally bailed on Monday but I had a busy weekend and a lot going on and I just didn’t want to throw together a half-assed post. But I’m here today & that’s what matters.

So let’s talk about fall. (You might be sick of fall talk… If that’s the case maybe don’t come back here until Monday… #sorrynotsorry)

I’m waiting to post my fall goals until Steph and Sara‘s link-up on Friday, but I wanted a fun bucket list for the season so that’s what we’re doing today! I also added some fall inspiration at the end, too- just in case you haven’t gotten your sweater wearing, scarf draping, latte sipping fix 😉

Audrey’s Fall Bucket List:

  • Go to a local apple orchard & bring home a bushel small bag of apples
  • Get all the fall decor out & around the house
  • Visit a few fall craft shows (preferably with Mom)
  • Pick out some bright orange pumpkins
  • Carve said pumpkins (preferably with Fred & Christina)
  • Drink lots of apple cider
  • Get a PSL DONE 😉
  • Host our annual Halloween Party (theme coming soon!)
  • Take the dogs to a local park or nature trail for hikes
  • Visit a haunted house
  • Bake a few new fall cookies
  • Fall vacation with the husband
  • Add a few classy, seasonal pieces to my wardrobe
  • Watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
  • Create & enjoy a fire pit area in our yard

Some of these are already in the works (the Halloween party, our fall vacation) but most of these are fun things I try to plan every year (and usually fail). A few of these might double as goals on Friday’s post, too. Meh. That’s just how it works.

And now for some Fall Inspiration! (Follow me on Pinterest for more!)

The eyeball cookies are cute, not creepy!!

It’s way too hot here still to be thinking about hot drinks or autumn clothing. It’s supposed to rain at the weekend though.

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 3:38 pm

I think those cookies are adorable, too! I think I’ll make a few for our Halloween party AND some to take into the office 🙂
I looove fall rain- probably because it cools everything down so much!

Oh so fun! Definitely Definitely ready for fall! 🙂 I have still not gotten further than like three things on my list… but maybe I can finish it up. I still have a bit of time! 🙂 We have a Halloween party every year too. 🙂 Fun! XO – Alexandra

The past two years I’ve been giving my Halloween Parties a theme (because I’m a control freak, lol). It’s one of my favorite days of the year!!

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 3:43 pm

Ugh. Heat waves are SO annoying after Sept. 1st. It’s just summer overstaying its welcome and ruining my fall vibes. I’m ready for jeans and boots. It irritates the hell out of me when I still have to wear shorts to be comfortable. Haha.

I never tire of talking about fall!!! This fall will look a little different around my house, I have been drinking apple juice instead of cider (usually not pasteurized) or fall hard ciders and beers and I just didn’t feel like digging out the fall decor. Not that we have a lot of it, but I just didn’t have the energy to go get it all. I am saving it for Christmas lol. But YES to all the fall outfits and recipes! Love your fall bucket list.

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 3:44 pm

Usually my house looks like a Halloween department store by now but I’ve been so busy (and tired) lately so I’m a little slow. This week it’s all going up, though! 😀

you are speaking my language girl! that style section is making me SOOOOO excited to get this baby out of me so I can wear all my comfy sweaters. also, I think you’ve inspired a post for me to write my own fall bucket list.

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 3:45 pm

Yay, I can’t wait to read your bucket list! I really want to do some leggings/booties/long sweater combos this year. That’s my kind of style 🙂

  5. Rebecca Jo September 14, 2016 / 10:51 am

There’s an apple orchard right next to my house – come to that one, m’kay? 😉 haha

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 3:47 pm

That’s perfect!! We have a cute little one in Amish County near me 🙂 I’ll keep them both in mind 😉

  6. Heidi Crisp September 14, 2016 / 10:55 am

All those outfits are super cute! My favorite thing about fall is pulling out the vests and cardigans. 🙂

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 3:49 pm

Yesss! I have one green puffy vest and I feel like I need to add a white or black one to my collection, too! (Or both, hehe!)

  7. Elyse September 14, 2016 / 10:59 am

I LOVE those outfits! I definitely want to hit up an apple orchard too…now I just have to find one since I’m pretty certain there isn’t one in Vancouver. I’ve already watched It’s A Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown this season!

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 3:55 pm

You’ve already watched the Charlie Brown special?? That’s awesome!
How can there be no apple orchards in Vancouver?! That’s so sad! I hope you find one nearby!

I wish I could just live in Fall forever! I love your Fall bucket list, I’m in the process of making mine now and it just keeps getting longer.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a long fall bucket list 🙂 It’s my favorite season and I think it flies by way too fast!

  9. Amanda September 14, 2016 / 11:37 am

Give me all the clothes in those style pics. Too cute. Fall clothes are the best.

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 3:58 pm

Some of those have been on my style board for years! I think boots and cardigans and scarves never go out of style 🙂

  10. Mattie September 14, 2016 / 1:04 pm

This makes me suuuper happy! (I will NEVER get my fill of fall!) We’ve been wanting to go to a haunted house every year forever and just haven’t. This year is our year!!!

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 4:01 pm

Yes! Go to that haunted house! We have like six haunted houses/schools/corn mazes/factories near us! Plus the Mansfield Reformatory (the jail where Shawshank Redemption was filmed) is pretty close by. I’ve never been there but I’ve heard it’s awesome!

  11. Carolann September 14, 2016 / 2:11 pm

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, is my number 1 fall tradition! The Thanksgiving and Christmas specials follow soon after. Also, I’m glad to see that you’ve got your PSL already! I love apple cider and I have to try to get my hands on some in Hawaii! Fall in New York is magical and that’s one of the biggest things I miss about it.

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 4:03 pm

I bet fall in NY is beautiful! We took a drive down through the mountains last year in September and it was gorgeous!
I’m not obsessed with the PSL but I usually get one or two throughout the fall. The Christmas Caramel Brulee Latte is my OBSESSION. Can’t wait for that one 😉

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 4:04 pm

It’s so versatile! I like to layer in the fall- heavy clothes and be used in the winter & the bottom, lighter layers can be re-worn in the spring/summer. Perfect!

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 4:05 pm

I looooove the caramel apple spice! Before I found my love for coffee/espresso I was obsessed with that drink 🙂

  12. Lindsay Latimer September 14, 2016 / 8:18 pm

I remember your Halloween party from last year and can’t wait to see what you have in store! I’d love to build a fire pit area in our yard… Hope you’ll share the end result!

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 4:06 pm

Thanks, girl!! I take such pride in our parties, haha! 🙂 I’m really hoping we get a little fire pit area set up soon! K was starting to talk about it so I’m feeling good about it 🙂

  13. Emily (@embergreyblog) September 15, 2016 / 9:47 am

Fall talk is just one of those things I could never get sick of. Talk away! I am loving your bucket list, lady! Looking forward to reading more about your Halloween party 🙂

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 4:08 pm

I swear my list grows the more I read what other people are up to 🙂 We’re busy this season but I’m hoping to cross a lot of these things off! Definitely the Halloween party!

  14. Jess September 16, 2016 / 1:26 pm

All fun fall things! I love fall festivals. There is a Harry Potter festival up here that is so much fun. I’m getting more and more ready for fall style. I feel so awkward and bumbly with the belly lately that I want as few clothes as possible (comfort over modesty), but as the weather cools down, I realize I will probably accept leggings back into my life.

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 4:11 pm

SO JEALOUS of your Harry Potter festival!!! We have quite a few craft fairs and yummy food festivals 🙂 but I’d trade all that for a HP Festival. Ha!

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 4:11 pm

Hehehe, thanks, girl! I’m ready for the temps to drop and the leaves to fall!

  15. Danielle Doman September 16, 2016 / 4:49 pm

Haha, I always want to go apple picking, but then wind up with more apples than I could possibly eat. I started throwing an annual Halloween party last year! (Well, not annual yet, but it will be!) Looking forward to hearing more about your theme- mine is Asylum!

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 4:13 pm

Wow, I love your party theme! So creepy! Hehe!
I need to find some crisp or pie or dumpling recipes for apples before I go picking- otherwise I’ll have the same issues 😉

  16. lifeasunusuals September 18, 2016 / 8:06 am

I could get on board with the baking, but other than that, Autumn is just another season. I don’t think I’ve ever done anything special about a season, I definitely don’t own any seasonal decor for my house haha!

    • Louise September 18, 2016 / 4:14 pm

Awwww, haha! I love how cool and crisp and fresh Ohio feels during this time of the year! It’s energizing and I love all the festival and activities!

  17. Amanda September 19, 2016 / 8:31 pm

I can’t wait to have a chance to get myself out to the cider mill! I will drink it until it comes out of my ears!!!!!!

    • Louise September 24, 2016 / 10:11 pm

Ummm! Cider is so delicious- both hard and normal 😉 I’ve never been to a cider mill! I should try to find a local one!
