Mini Letters

Dear Fall,

I’m ready for you. I know some people are trying to soak in those last rays of summer, but my sweatshirts are knocking on the closet door and my windows long to be open at night. I’m already burning my woodsy candles in anticipation of your arrival. ‘Love you.

Dear Eclipse,

Thank you for providing a brief, healthy, unique distraction for our country. I am 100% camped out in the “Stay Vigilant” campground, but it was kind of adorable to see the country come together to witness a fun thing like you. You came at a good time.

Dear Realtors,

If you could schedule your showings & open houses all in one day that’d be awesome… I’m so stinkin’ tired of deep cleaning my house. (I know, I know… it’s all for the greater good. I know it’ll pay off.)

Dear The Tudors,

I love you. You’re one of my favorite things to watch on Netflix. Henry Cavill definitely helps…

Also, Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn is amazing.

Dear Zac Brown Band & Kenny Chesney,

While I’m so ready for fall, your music makes me long for the beach. Or maybe my current stressors just make me long for a vacation. Either way, someone give me an all-inclusive trip 😉 j/k

A million times yes to fall! This 90 degree heat is killing me.

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 10:35 am

I just saw that our part of Ohio isn’t supposed to top 80* for the next week. Praise Jesus. Hahaha!

i opened the windows to a crisp air this morning, and about cried tears of joy! i thought i wasn’t ready, but i am. i’m so ready for fall, for the cool weather, and for all the fun plans we have coming up in that season!

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 10:38 am

Ohio has been throwing us some super cool days lately and I have tried to slip outside as often as possible 🙂 This is shorts + sweatshirt weather and that is my absolute FAVORITE!!

  3. Stephanie August 22, 2017 / 9:35 am

Agreed, sign me up for fall. Well, winter, really, but fall is better than summer any day!
I hope we stay in our house forever, solely so I don’t experience the selling process. Good luck.

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 10:41 am

Our next house (fingers crossed) will be one we stay in for 10 to 15 years. (That’s the plan, anyway.) I know it sounds stupid to not buy a forever house (or so people have told me), but eventually I want to be out in the country on the land next to my parents. We’re not at a place where we want to build yet, though, so I’m not in a rush. I’m ready to make out next house super homey and tailored to us 😀

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 10:42 am

Noooooo. Keep all the hot weather up there with you 😉 I’ll take the cool temperatures.

I’m so ready for Fall too! Granted, it doesn’t really start here until late October/November but still. I’m ready for the idea of it! When I’ve had friends sell their homes, the impromptu showings (and constant cleaning) wore them out too. But, as you noted, it did pay off. Stay strong and my fingers are crossed that you find a great buyer soon!

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 10:53 am

Thank you! I believe I can see the light at the end of this housing tunnel so keep those fingers crossed! 😉

HOLLLDDDDDD UP!!!! Henry Cavill is in The Tudors??? That is going on my watch list NOW. I ADORE that beautiful face of his.

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 10:54 am

Yeah, girl. The Tudors is what originally made me fall madly in love with him. Hahaha!
Warning- the show was on Showtime so there are some sex scene/nudity and some beheading. I typically turn away at those parts. Lol

  6. Kelly @ Noodle to the Rescue August 22, 2017 / 12:17 pm

Selling a house is so hard! It’s so frustrating and difficult to try to keep the house just so all the time and that panic to get everything cleaned up when you get a last minute showing. I hope that you get an offer soon!

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 10:55 am

Thank you!! We did finally get another offer so we’re back to the inspection/appraisal/waiting stage. I’m just SO ready to move out and into the new one, lol!

  7. Kristen from Pugs & Pearls August 22, 2017 / 12:36 pm

Haha, this was cute! I was thinking the same thing about the eclipse! I was so happy to have it dominating the news instead of horrible and terrible things. It brought everyone together in such a nice way.

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 10:56 am

I agree 🙂 I think it’s important to stay caught up with the news, but it’s nice when that news is good news!

  8. SMD August 22, 2017 / 1:46 pm

I love love love having my windows ope and always long for a time when that is possible.

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 11:01 am

I crack our bedroom windows and then paw patrol sits there with their noses to the screen all night, ready to bark at the critters across the street. *sigh* Lol

  9. Stephanie Cervantes August 22, 2017 / 1:48 pm

Yeahhh, I’m over here like “bye summer!” I am already planning out all my fall events and worried that I can’t fit them all in during September and October. HA! Long live fall!

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 11:03 am

That’s typically how I feel about fall blog posts. Hahahaha!

  10. Laura August 22, 2017 / 9:38 pm

I’ve been on a major Zac Brown Band kick lately. I painted our living room this weekend and that’s all I listened to for two days!

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 11:04 am

I’ve been doing the same thing with Kenny Chesney’s newer album. Ha! I saw them both this summer and it was just such a fun experience! I’m trying to plan another concert with those bands!

  11. Carolann August 22, 2017 / 10:46 pm

I miss Fall! As soon as it’s September 1, I will get out my fall decorations. And, I am going to New York in September, too, and I am so excited for fall weather!!!

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 11:07 am

Yesss! Even if Hawaii doesn’t give you a real fall feel (which I can’t say I pity you….hahaha!), New York definitely will!!

  12. Anthea August 23, 2017 / 6:54 am

I’m really looking forward to spring – been a long and cold winter!

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 11:06 am

Hehe, sometimes I forget that not everyone here is from my hemisphere. Lol!

  13. Kerri (@LifeAsUnusuals) August 23, 2017 / 8:29 am

I’m totally ready for Autumn. I’m done with these weird temperature changes and heavy storms. Give me some consistently predictable (and a little cold) weather any day.

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 11:10 am

Right now I’ve been waking up to 50*(F) mornings and then it hits mid-70s by the afternoon. I just need it to stay cool and consistent for a while, too. Haha. I s’pose these temperatures are acceptable. Ha.

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 1:25 pm

We got another offer this week and we accepted, so fingers crossed that there’s a light at the end of this tunnel… ha.
The Tudors is wonderful! There are some sex scenes and beheadings, but I know you watch GoT so you can handle it. It’s mild compared to that. Ha. Enjoy your weekend!!

  14. Julie Hood August 23, 2017 / 8:25 pm

Aww good luck with all those house showings! That would stress me out, having to have the place so clean and tidy (especially when my dog and son are determined to make the place dirty and chaotic hahaha)…and Zac Brown Band makes me think of the beach, too!!!

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 1:32 pm

I have no idea how people with children sell houses. Hahaha. I shared that thought with Kyle, too. Two dogs is enough to clean up after and round-up for showings. This is one of those times I’m glad we don’t have kids yet 😉 Lol!

  15. akaleistar August 23, 2017 / 9:01 pm

While I’m not ready for summer to end, I am looking forward to fall and wearing my sweaters 🙂

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 1:37 pm

One of my faovite parts about fall is the clothing! Sweaters and sweatshirts and scarves and boots!

  16. Amanda August 24, 2017 / 4:45 am

Totally agree about the eclipse! I thought it was awesome and nice to see the whole country come together for a day.

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 1:41 pm

Definitely 🙂 All sides of spectrum were fairly united on Monday!

  17. Nadine August 24, 2017 / 3:54 pm

I am so ready for the fall!!! It was interesting to see everyone go crazy over the eclipse. I myself thought it was pretty cool, but I like stars and stuff like that and am nerdy. Sometimes I wonder if anyone would have cared if it weren’t for social media, you know? Having to worry about keeping your house in showing conditions every single day is exhausting! Hopefully someone makes another offer and you wont have to worry about it!

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 1:44 pm

I think it’s so nuts that we already know when the next one is and what path it will take. Like, we KNOW what the moon is going to do in seven years! What?! I think that’s so insane!! Ha! Science is crazy…. lol.

  18. kristen August 25, 2017 / 2:03 pm

*SPITS OUT WATER* Henry Cavill is on the tudors?! Natalie Dormer is fabulous. I remember watching at least the first season but I don’t remember Henry. OBVIOUSLY I need to rewatch.
girl you can keep fall, but give me that kitty in the leaves. so cute!
hope your house sells super fast!!

    • Louise August 25, 2017 / 2:08 pm

(It’s stalker-ish how fast I’m replying to this comment. At least for me…)
Henry Cavill isn’t only on The Tudors- unlike Natalie, Henry is in EVERY SEASON OF THE TUDORS. Like, you get to see his face in almost every episode. I prefer him in the later ones because his hair is longer 🙂 Hahaha!

  19. lifenpainx August 25, 2017 / 3:36 pm

Love the post especially about the eclipse. But I noticed in another post you don’t watch GoT.. Well if you like Natalie Dormer, just in case you didn’t already know, she is also in GoT and you should watch it!!

Well just read about the mental diet, now I know why you don’t watch. Lol I guess that’s acceptable.🙃

    • Louise August 28, 2017 / 8:49 am

Hahahaha- I’m glad I waited to respond to your last comment 😉 After I finished up The Tudors I realized there’s some serious gore and violence and sex in that series, too. I’m not sure why I can watch some things and not others, lol.
