Three Things

Steph & Rebecca Jo shared this first. I’m awfully uncreative right now so I’m going to piggy-back off of them today.

Three things I lost my MIND over this week
1. Kids in cages & the argument that those detaining them have no responsibility to provide for them. /RAGE
2. Lylee being a nut while I was trying to nap away a headache.
3. Picking dates for our summer parties.

Three signs I’ll never hang in my house
1. Life. Laugh. Love.
2. Anything with butterflies.
3. Anything with a peace sign or tie die.

Three things I neglected this week
1. Meal planning
2. Vacuuming
3. Actually doing my hair (buns, hats, and ponytails 4life)

Three things I’ve tried recently
1. Spindrift (yum!)
2. Overnight oats (ick…)
3. The new Mrs. Meyer body wash samples I received (smells good)

Three house things I hate doing
1. Cleaning toilets
2. Pulling weeds
3. Mopping

Three things I wear all the time
1. Jeans
2. Sweatshirts
3. Hats or headbands

Three things I never wear
1. Crocs
2. Crop tops
3. Formfitting dresses

Three books on my kindle waiting to be read
1.Β Coldhearted Boss by R.S. Grey
2. Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
3. The Matrimonial Advertisement by Mimi Matthews

Three things I have to do but don’t feel like doing
1. Ins. stuff for work.
2. Financial stuff for our future & the kid.
3. An actual grocery store trip- not just a quick pop in.

Three things I’m looking forward toΒ
1. Finding out this little potato’s sex!
2. A four day weekend for the 4th & the reveal party!
3. Our trip to see my bff in Sept.!

I am wiped. I don’t know if it’s normal human-growing exhaustion or if I’m coming down with something, but I’m going to take next week off from the blog. I’ll still be around to read your musings, though πŸ˜‰ Happy early 4th of July!

These posts are always fun and I’m nodding along to meal planning and vacuuming! I tell myself I do better next week.
Hope you aren’t coming down with anything. Have a fabulous four day weekend and enjoy the reveal party!

With two dogs running around, it’s VERY apparent when I don’t vacuum. Lol. We just dremeled their nails the other night, too, so I need to vacuum up the mess asap.
      Thank you!!

  2. I started to get my energy back around week 14, but everybody’s different I guess. It probably helped that I had 2 weeks off work around that time because my mum came to visit.

Work is exhausting and I’ve started to get a few headaches throughout the week so I think that’s the issue. Trying to solve the problem with blue light glasses and water πŸ˜‰

  3. I need to borrow this because my imagination is lacking these days too, although you have a better excuse as to why you’re so distracted. And super yay to finding out whether you’re having a girl or boy potato! πŸ˜€ You know, I don’t think I’ve ever attended a baby reveal party. When my friends were pregnant, they weren’t quite the rage they are today. Enjoy your blogging break and have a great reveal party!

      Borrow away!!
I believe most of my family thinks it’s ridiculous. Haha. K’s cousin had one for her little girl (who was born last Oct.) so they at least get what it’s all about. And our friends are pumped to come. LOL
      Thank you!

I love my CROC sandals so much, I’ve actually converted a few people in the office to get them πŸ™‚
I love the ‘sign’ question – so funny what people are like NO – I’m with you on the LIVE.LAUGH.LOVE – someone got me a picture frame with that & I just couldnt put it out.
I wasn’t a fan of overnight oats until I found a receipe in a health thing & I sort of tweaked it – made it less “soupy” & I LOVE it now – plus, I add a TON of honey on top of it so its basically like a dessert πŸ™‚

My cousin loves her crocs sandals, too. She has different colors for her different softball uniforms. Lol
We just recently tried the overnight oats. K didn’t mind them as much. I think I just need to play with the recipe a bit. I don’t LOVE oatmeal to begin with. Haha.

  6. 100% agree with you on all the things I would NOT hang in my house! My home is all primitives / antiques and those just don’t mesh – haha! Also… butterflies freak me out. On our honeymoon, we went into a butterfly conservatory and they were flapping all around me and I was screaming. UGH!

I don’t necessarily mind butterflies (although I fully admit they are just large-winged bugs). We went to a conservatory in Niagara Falls and really liked it, but they were a little freaky. They’re just 100% not my thing. And our house is industrial but cozy? I dunno. We like wood and steel and soft pillows.

I just live in sweatshirts. Even in summer. Shorts and a sweatshirt is my favorite outfit.
I hate that my computer doesn’t let me log in and comment on your posts. I noticed today that you left Justin Bieber off your Canada celebrity list πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  8. I’m going to steal this! Fun post idea! Super excited to find out the sex of your little one. That’s SUCH an exciting time. πŸ™‚ Also Crocs are underrated. Jordan got a pair to wear around the house because he has plantar fasciitis, and the dr he went to recommended it. They really help! So I got a pair because he kept saying how comfy they were, and I’m telling you, when I’m standing in the kitchen cooking or running around the house cleaning/organizing, those things make a huge difference! So comfy.

      Go for it!

We found out this weekend and finally got an ultrasound and now it all just feels so real! Lol! I will probably have to eat my words about crocs soon enough. I’ll need slip-on shoes for work (so my toes are covered but I don’t have to bend over) and I already have leg cramps at night and I’m sure they’d actually probably help me out. LOL

I despise cleaning toilets. I’ll do laundry all day, mop, scrub the shower, but HATE cleaning toilets. UGH. So excited to find out your baby’s gender. Do you have an intuition? I was always so worn out too, would take naps after work and still go to bed early. It can be frustrating but remember you’re growing a life ( I know everyone says this and easier said than done) but it’s important to rest. My guess is girl…Bella sucked the life out of me hahahaha

I rank toilets about mopping and scrubbing the shower. I hate that stuff. Haha.
I have been convinced from the start (with a few moments of doubt) that we are having a boy. You are one of the only people to guess girl, lol! Most of our friends and family think boy, too. We found out the correct answer this weekend and I’m SO excited to tell everyone!

Love these types of posts… Love reading them and doing them! Oh man, I don’t enjoy cleaning the house…! I’ve been so spoiled over the years in Singapore with having a weekly cleaner that being back in the US is a slap in the face. HA

Almost every weekend I ask my husband why I don’t have someone who cleans the house for me. Lol. I don’t usually mind TOO much but when it’s a total wreck it’s a little daunting. Haha!

We have a gather sign at our house but I keep it with the Thanksgiving decorations- it’s not usually out all year long. Lol
