Currently…

Hello, again.

I thought I’d share some things I’m currently into…

| Reading | I just finished The Book of Essie by Meghan MacLean Weir and really enjoyed it. I’m slogging my way through Little Fires Everywhere and I just started Anatomy: A Love Story by Dana Schwartz.

| Watching | I watched the entire season of Claim to Fame. It was silly but it held my attention. I’m appalled that the contestants couldn’t figure out Logan’s relative. Yikes.

| Listening to | I’ve been invested in a few podcasts lately, which is unusual for me. Right now I’m enjoying:

| Eating | M loves watermelon so we’ve had a bunch in the house. Which has reminded me that I love watermelon, too. Lol

| Drinking | I’ve recently broken my addiction to caffeine. I didn’t cut it out entirely, but I went through the withdrawal phase and I no longer need it to get going in the morning. I love coffee, so I’ve mostly been doing the decaf thing. And of course I’m trying to drink more water. As always.

| Thinking about | It has no direct effect on me, but I’ve been thinking about the Queen’s passing and her family. It’s sad to lose a beloved family member, as I’m sure she was, and it’s probably strange to mourn with an entire country.

| Looking forward to | Cool weather & spooky season. I was ready in May… 😬

| Planning | Right now I’m working on our Halloween party, which is back and better than ever after a brief COVID break & year off.

| Praying about | What isn’t there to pray about…? I guess lately it’s been about the physical and mental health of loved ones, and guidance in raising a daughter who is kind and respectful but also passionate and strong willed. Those are usually my top two topics.

And that sums it up. I feel like I’m more intentional during this time of year. These are my favorite days and I like to spend them doing what I like. No pressure, no rushing… just slow and cozy autumn days 🧡
