Since we’re almost halfway through the year, I thought a BINGO card update might be in order.

Unfortunately, two things that I thought (or hoped) were going to happen, will not. Those include having a garage sale and passing the school levy. The former is due to a scheduling conflict & the latter due to the chuckleclucks in my town refusing to think outside their own pathetic interests. But I digress…

Here is an update on what I’ve managed to achieve in 2026:

  • watch The Holiday at Christmas time (I’ve never seen it)
  • post 12 book reviews on my Instagram
  • see a live show we attended a songwriters’ festival in KW in May
  • start a Spanish course or class
  • attend some America 250 events we went to see the Buckeye Train & airshow in April! We’re also heading to Williamsburg later this summer 🇺🇸
  • adopt a puppy we adopted Eleanor on January 1st!
  • visit Fred in Japan
  • find a church to attend regularly we seem to have found one for now
  • go to a NASCAR race
  • have a garage sale
  • try to sell our camper (and get a different one better suited to our wants) I didn’t actually think we’d meet this goal, but it turns out we’ve done both things!
  • pass the school levy
  • join a yoga studio or gym
  • go to a historic home/site KW strikes again- we visited Hemingway’s House
  • complete 2 levels of training with the puppy
  • visit Key West obviously, lol

So a few things to note about the remaining squares…

  • We are planning to go to Japan in late summer and a NASCAR race in September. As long as nothing changes, I’ll be able to mark those two off.
  • I have posted exactly 2 book reviews on my IG *face palm* So if I can get my act together and post some books I’ve read, 12 should theoretically be no problem 😅
  • Presumably I will watch The Holiday, but who knows…

And that’s where I’m at. What’s on your 2026 bucket list? And have you crossed anything off yet??
