Is it that time again, Audrey?? Yes. Yes, it is.

Erin released the prompts for her next book challenge and I’m so excited! This four month reading challenge goes from July 1 to Oct. 31. I have a few work trips in there so fingers crossed I get some travel-reading done.

Ok, I’ll talk rules and dets after I share my choices πŸ™‚

Ok… on to my sales pitch πŸ˜‰

Just kidding, it’s not a pitch. Erin hosts the most supportive and encouraging challenges, though. I use them as motivation to put down the remote or phone and pick up a book or Kindle. I read ONE book in my very first challenge- it’s not about how fast or many you read. It’s about enjoying the stories along the way. Absolutely ZERO pressure.

If you do want to partake, select your books and have them to Erin’s FB page before July (the earlier, the better- but she takes late joiners, too). Reading starts at 12:00am on July 1st and ends at 11:59pm on October 31st. One book can be a reread for you, but all categories must be different books (no doubling up to check off two categories) and all books must be 200+ pages. You can use audio and ebooks as long as they meet those requirements. Any questions? You can check out Erin’s FB page or ask me!

So tell me what you picked or would pick for each category. I won’t lie- I struggled a bit. Almost all of these are from my TBR list, though, so I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll FINALLY finish a challenge.

  1. Love your book choices for the categories!! I haven’t done one of Erin’s challenges in forever because I never finish. I might have to give it a try again!

    1. Do it!! It’s such a gentle and fun reminder to read more! And Erin (and the whole community of readers) is awesome! I love these challenges- even though I have yet to finish πŸ˜‰

  2. Good luck with the challenge. I’m really trying to read more books off my own TBR this year too. I’ve read The Casual Vacancy from your list but I own and need to read HP 3 (illustrated) and The Hate U Give.

  3. I really enjoyed The Hate U Give. Wall of Winnapeg is on my TBR and I really want to read it. I am so mad my library carries nothing from that author.

    1. I bought Winnapeg for my Kindle one day when it was on sale. (Kristen just will not shut up about it, hahahahaha!) It’s a long one, though!!
I’m technically the director of operations but I THINK the main character in that book is a do-all assistant and I figured our jobs were similar

  4. I loved Nine Women, One Dress. It’s a great, light read and I think you’ll really enjoy it too. The only other book I’ve read from your list is HP, of course. The Hate U Give is on my TBR and I’m really hoping to get to this summer. I’m not participating in the challenge. I love it and how low-key and amazingly supportive Erin is but for whatever reason when I “have to” read something, even something I picked, I sometimes struggle to find my motivation. Good luck!

    1. I’m excited to read it! It’s been on my list for a while. Same with The Hate U Give. And I’m always excited to crack open those illustrated versions!
      Makes sense. And thank you!

  5. Wow, this is such a fun reading list!!!! And such creative categories. I love that they range from cover color to title type!! I’ve never read any of those, so I’ll be interested to hear how it goes! Good luck with the travel-reading πŸ™‚

  6. Great choices! I have been wanting to read Astronaut Wives Club forever!! I am not sure if I will sit this one out or not because so many books on my TBR list don’t fit into the categories, but I am still thinking about it!!

    1. Thanks! That one has been on my GoodReads shelf the longest. I don’t know why I haven’t read it yet! I’m glad so many of my tbr books fit into this list!

  7. You have such good choices for Erin’s challenge! I wish that I’d thought of One Dark Throne as my freebie! And having Erin so laid back about the challenge really is all that matters!

    1. Thanks! I’m bummed I missed the opportunity for One of Us is Lying. (Although I’m reading it now before the challenge so oh well, lol.) One Dark Throne is SO LONG so I’m glad it’s one I have motivation to read πŸ˜‰ Sometimes the longer books frighten me. Lol
